Territory Nash Hash 2023 (TNH2023)

Darwin will host the 2023 Aussie Nash Hash over 12 – 14 May 2023.

Initial details below – still a work in progress. We appreciate your patience as we get things organised for TNH23. On on.

Registrations aren’t open just yet, but will be soon!

Registrations fees (in line with Port Douglas prices 4 years ago) will be:

  • early bird registrations at $360 for the first 200 regos
  • $410 until a few months before the event
  • $460 for late registrations.

All registered hashers will also get email updates if they tick “yes” to emails on the registration form.

You can also sign up to join the TNH23 email list any time to receive news & updates – just email NTHashers@gmail.com & ask to be on the list.

We’ll let you know more about the runs and where you need to be croc-wise as we get closer to the event.

For those coming early, the Over 100 kg Hash House Harriers Run 12 is on Wednesday 10 May @ 2pm. Cost is $70 before the event (limited numbers) & $80 on the day if not sold out. More details in the Over 100 kg run 12 rego form – regos are OPEN for this run.

Our Red Dress Day run is on Thursday 11 May – details to follow.

TNH2023 hub

Our venue is the Gardens Amphitheatre in the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens.

Hash pub

Our Hash Pub is the Frontier Hotel on the edge of the city near the Amphitheatre.

Darwin accommodation

TNH23 is at the start of the top end’s tourist season – look to book your accommodation early to beat the hordes heading north.

The TNH23 Hub is the Frontier Hotel and the hotel above the pub has plenty of accommodation.

We will also have access to Lizards Bar in Mitchell Street as a secondary Hash Pub and the hotel above this pub, H on Mitchell, has some great apartment rooms.

Vitina Studio Motel & Alatai Holiday Apartments are near the Hash venue & a short stroll or scooter ride into the CBD.

If you’re coming with a caravan, camperhome etc we suggest you book a site at one of the parks along Stuart Highway to make shuttle bus runs quicker and more direct – Discovery Park – Darwin, Big4 Hidden Valley, Robbie Robbins Reserve or Darwin Free Spirit.

NT Tourism has a good listing of accommodation options and Top End Travel and Information Centre can also book accommodation.

Planning your visit

Things to see & do in Darwin – and the Top End – start ramping up at the start of May.

The Nash Hash 2023 Preamble is in Katherine (300km south of Darwin) on Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 May. Prefect for those travelling to TNH23 up the Stuart Highway. Full details & regos on their website.

Over 100 kg Hash House Harriers Run 12 is on Wednesday 10 May @ 2pm. More details in the Over 100 kg run 12 rego form – regos are OPEN for this run.

TNH23 Red Dress Day Run is happening on Thursday 11 May. More details to follow soon – it’s not officially part of TNH23, but details will be available on this site once available.

If you love Australian live music, Red Hot Summer Tour, with Paul Kelly, Bernard Fanning, Missing Higgins & supporting acts is happening at the TNH23 venue on the Saturday prior to TNH23 & the Territory’s biggest annual music festival, BASS in the grass is at the nearby Mindil Beach on the Saturday after TNH23. The huge line-up is available on their website.

You might want to follow the Darwin Ski Club’s Facebook page too – they’re a TNH23 sponsor & host everything from Hashers to comedy, live music & movies. They offer very chilled & friendly dining & drinks, & are arguably the best place in Darwin for a sunset session. Or a recovery breakfast.

You can check out event listings in Off the Leash or with the Darwin City Council.

Top End Travel and Information Centre also has a bunch of ideas for extending your adventures and recovery pre and/or post TNH13.
